    This feedback thread is long overdue, and hopefully many of you have been referencing the Wikia and making use of the information since its humble inception. Disclaimer: The wikia site is not affiliated with DSO in anyway and is run by the community.

    We would love for you to voice your opinions/experience about the Wikia here. Where can it be improved? What would you like to see implemented in the future? A small admin team heads the wikia, so any suggestions you provide will be directly read by someone on the team. You can also leave feedback on the new section of the Wikia Boards.

    I also encourage praises, funny gifs, and war stories in/as your reply ;).

    I am no longer an active admin on the wikia, but I do like to stop by and help out once in a blue moon or whenever I'm asked nicely. Hopefully I still have some modicum of influence. Admins of the Wikia (that use the EN forums) can introduce themselves here, if they wish, and help patrol this thread. :)

    ~~~~ FAQs ~~~~
    What should you do if you find incorrect information? The wikia admin staff works hard to ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate, but changes to the game may not always be caught or corrected in time. All wikis are built and maintained by the community, for the community. You are welcome to edit pages directly, correct mistakes and add additional information as you deem fit. However, if you are uncomfortable making changes, notify the community or staff in the comment section of the affected page(s) and someone will be able to assist you.
    Is the wiki available in other languages? Drakensang Online features gamers around the world and everyone is welcome to view and participate in discussions on this Wikia site. However, because this is an English wiki, all page edits will only be published in English. If you are attempting to edit a page, please turn off any translation filters prior to editing so you do not accidentally repost the page in your native language. Affiliated Wikias are currently available in German and Russian. [Let us know if you are hosting a wiki in another language and would like to be added to this list.]
    Where to find unique X? How many times do I have to kill the boss? That's the million dollar question. The Drakensang team does not readily release numbers -- including drop frequency, location, and their peudo random number/drop generator formula. Basically, no one can really know the answer without a much larger database of information. The wiki will provide basic information about drop location, but no guarantees. We encourage you to show off your loot whenever your find one!
    Interested in joining the Wikia admin staff? Making helpful edits and showing commitment and maturity will grant you major brownie points. Notify an admin on the wikia regarding your interest.
    Harquina, I'll repeat my request here so that it is in a central place with what I am sure to follow, helpful requests for the community. Thanks again for what you and the other great peeps on the wiki do for us.
    In the unique sections, if the wiki format will allow, it would be helpful if the set bonuses could be shown in a column on the same page as the other stats. I know you can select the individual uniques and it links to another page that shows the set bonuses but showing all that type information on a single page would prevent having to bounce pages and reload.
    I have found the DSO wikia to be an invaluable resource. Thanks to you, and all who contribute to it.
    I can't think of any suggestions right now, but if I think of any I will post them.
    Hello all, I too am one of the admins on the wiki where I go by the name of BCW. I am not as active there as I am here, but I aggressively attack inappropriate language and misinformation when I see it. I may not be an admin here, but well understand their frustration with keeping a community clean.
    Set bonuses on the Uniques page
    Thanks to Bigpapa for the suggestion of life tweaks aimed at simplifying your life in the new year. I'm releasing a short 24-48 h opinion poll if anyone wants to choose one of the pre-made style changes. Or pick-and-choose which features you find useful and which ones offend you. Visit the sandbox pages, as linked below, and check out the variations.
    If you want to create a totally new system, the world is your oyster! I'm no graphic designer, nor do I have any experience with aesthetically pleasing works of art, so no fancy schmancy material design from me.
    -//////- Closed Poll -//////-
    Style 1: New column for set bonuses
    Style 2: Set bonuses as popups
    Style 3: Set bonuses shown in the title bars
    Let me add my thanks to all who run/contribute the Wiki.
    The only thing I have found that hinders my use of the Wiki is the mini movie/Adverts. They suck the band width and make the page run very slow. I know, I know... Advertising helps keep things free, but you did ask lol
    Style 2 gets my vote ... like the pop up idea, info on an item when you "ask" for it.
    Other than that, You all do a great job and it is very appreciated.
    Thanks again for all your hard work. Doc.
    I like the popups, keeps it clean still and may avoid confusion as to which items are in the set if more items are added in the same categories later.
    I like the popup as well but it wasn't obvious that there were popup options. Maybe have something like [set bonus] rather than [1] to indicate there is more info?
    I want to reiterate the thanks for all the hard work involved in getting the Wiki up and running and maintaining it. THANK YOU! It has cut down on the number of (stupid) questions I've asked here... and it sure made finding those piggies easier! :D
    Hi harquina,
    Nice to see you still exist, haven't heard from you in ages!!!
    As for ideas, I have a few, but....it would demand a hole lot of work and commitment...
    ...and the Admin want to play too and not dedicate their lives to the wiki page...
    And before you go M.I.A again:D, all i want is to say is...
    ...a very big thanks to the Admin who started the wiki page and all the Admin's who made all this possible, THANKS!!!
    Till next time, harquina!!! have a good year!!!
    Yeah, but it's a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very small one!!!
    I have been following wiki since 2012 and the community helps-out much more here in the forums rather than the wiki page...where you can find more info about the game, rather than in the forums.
    Only a handful of unknown contributors have actually helped, while the community (by the thousands) only go there to see if there is anything new and nothing more.
    So, a big thanks to the unknown wiki contributors too!!!
    Thank you to those who voted in the poll. Hopefully no one was discouraged to vote because of the unanimity on the Bigpoint forums. The final tally, including those who voted on the wiki forums, comes out to:
    Style 1: 8 votes
    Style 2: 4 votes
    Style 3: 1 votes
    I will begin preparing the page with a new column for set bonuses and hopefully you find it useful. Changes are not necessarily final, so continue giving feedback and shaping the wiki. @Bearer-of-Death, I encourage you, and others, to post your suggestions no matter how outlandishly complicated, and you never know who will pick up your small project, or at least some version of it. I personally enjoyed building the wiki (even more than building my character), but I found that coming up with new ideas was the most challenging part.
    Skipping the home page of the wiki seems to cut down on advertisements. If you are content with just a pared down version of the site, you may be interested viewing the site via a mobile browser skin on your PC, which will bypass all the special effects and background image.
    Gathering enough data, manually, to see a significant difference between servers would be near impossible. You can continue posting your server information in your personal post, but server differences is highly speculative, at this point.
    Thanks Harquina, will look into this.
    Thanks, Doc.
    This would be a nice addition to the home page of the WIKI. A "How can you Help" link that explains to anyone/everyone that wants to contribute how to do so. Not everyone knows how to modify or add elements or if they are welcome to do so.
    This is very true.... I myself have avoided "messing" around in the wiki, afraid I might erase important info, or even page structures and layouts... dont laugh,.... I have seen it done on other wiki's, (And no.... it wasnt me LOL) A nice, simple, easy to follow "how to" might just be the ticket.
    Thanks, Doc.
    Interesting you should ask. On the homepage, bottom right column, I hid a basic intro to editing on the wikia. The guide and stub pages are outdated, but should still be relevant. There, I linked to a few Wikia tutorials that I thought would be most useful and added a few personal tips. For simple editing, the new VisualEditor skin that you see when clicking the "Edit" button is well representative of the actual published results, and is similar to editing on this forum. If you publish a mistake that messes up the page, the wiki keeps track of every past edit in its History, so you can quickly revert to the last good copy or compare the changes you made to a previous edition.
    The Wikipedia article, Wiki markup, provides a comprehensive list of Mediawiki syntax and prides itself in its simplicity and usability. So, if you are interested in editing the source code, learning it should be fairly quick to pick up and easy to understand. This should also make errors easy to find -- especially compared to other markup languages, such as HTML.
    While creating new pages, honestly, I usually just Googled all my questions and was able to find examples quickly. If you find that you are not able to implement a special feature using wiki markup, a JavaScript script may just do the trick; the only hurdle to using JS is that you will need to contact an Admin to add it for you.
    What I can do is update the DSO Wiki Editing Guide to reflect the new Editor layout and add a section for "Common Editing Errors &
    Solutions." Anything in particular you would like to see on the help page?
