Suggestion Essence Drop in PvE

Yesterday I was talking with a guy in my guild and he made a good point. Now that % based essence can only be used in PvE, they ought to drop purples and reds (maybe even yellows) in PvE. It's not like you could farm the ess in PvE and then make people miserable in PvP. This could only help the players and make boss runs like Destructor and Mortis more common and easier for groups made up of non OP endgame players. Thoughts?

 

Absolutely!! I've seen this a bit with Mortis lately. Lots of spare ess running around from Jesters that are clogging peoples inventory so they want to go burn it at Mortis lol.

 

Personally, I would like this. I imagine though it would depend on the economics of the percentage essences. Since they can no longer be used in PvP, I suppose that the vendor sales will drop. Offering them as drops would further decrease the vendor sales of those essences. But whether or not this makes a difference to the bottom line for Bigpoint...I have no clue. For me, if they start to drop I am definitely going to have to expand my inventory posthaste

Moreover the best thing they can do is apply this function in the upcoming desert of essence event.

 

Since I'm F2P, this idea would indeed help me a lot, perhaps i could even go and try to kill Mortis & Co.
The major problem is the dev team...they never ever did anything nice for the F2P, so....!!!

Still a very good idea, at least it helps the forum to stay alive....it has been a bit dull lately.

 

I'd say civil. New peeps and old players starting to post regularly since they don't get barked at for their thoughts.

Red or purple ess drops would nice and increase the number of people doing mortis or destructor.

I try to always click shabby chests for keys, get purple or red ess. I think I might target purple ess since its 200% more damage for 25 keys, whereas red is 300% for 100 keys, and I should be able to tank mortis 1H on purples.

But 100 key chests comes with better gems and legendary gear.

And of course, no shabby chests in OoB or HoD.

 

i say no to more essence drops, keep it the same, blues and greens, go to jesters gamble your farmed gold for blues purples and reds - EDIT

 

I feel whats happening in this game is the reverse. It looks like the blue drops have been quiet reduced. Also the last 100 lockpicks chest i opened gave only 493 red ess , im sure it used to be the double 1/2 months ago!

 

Congratulations, 493 is well above average. I've been opening those chests for a long time averaging 1 a week, and I've had many and most in the high 300s. Only ever seen one in the 600's and that was about 3 weeks ago. I don't think anything concerning ess drops or chests have changed.
