My character is a Spellweaver, and as I've made some plans in my head about what I want and could potentially get for towards the endgame period, I came to the conclusion that I will need to get more Critical Hit Rate/Value. I've thought about several unique set mixes, and generally, the belt slot (unless using the Roshan set) and one of the ring slots are left, giving me freedom of choice and a chance to boost my critical. That leads to my question: I know there's a unique ring I could farm for and upgrade (Sea-Snake Ring, in the Torstrond region), or the much harder to obtain Bloodtooth (the former being much easier to obtain than the latter; farming > getting 4k Draken and waiting for the Gnob to come again), but I haven't seen any belt unique that helps with crit and is available through farming. That being said, there are some such merchant unique belts: the Kingshill Researcher Cloth Sash (lv10, 2 armor, +50 critical, 1400 Ander cost) and the Holy Belt of Enlightenment (lv30, 6 armor, +147 critical, 3000 Ander cost). A little note: I've also seen the Keeper's Royal Belt (lv20, 4 armor, +110 critical, 2200 Ander cost) on the DSO Wiki, but I'm not sure I ever saw it in-game. Was it removed, or something? And if not, where's the merchant who sells it? Anyway, what I really want to know is which of these would be the best in a perfect scenario of being able to upgrade the item to lv50, if anyone can give me the max values and cost in glyphs for one or both the Kingshill Researcher Cloth Sash & the Holy Belt of Enlightenment (also for the Keeper's Royal Belt, if it's still available in-game... though I'm pretty sure I can't have missed it), so I can ponder upon this. Again, this is all part of my hypothetical plans for what I'll be doing later on in this game. I usually like making plans, even if they'd take a whole lot of effort and time, but it makes me enjoy the game more and kinda keeps me going, you know, having something to work towards. If it weren't for that, and the fact that my best friend plays DSO too and it's awesome when we play together, I wouldn't have such a likeness towards this game, with all the less pleasant things that are all too mentioned and known to the player-base. Sorry... got a little sidetracked at the end, but I hope someone can help me with an answer. Thanks in advance!

Your plan doesn't sound like a good plan.
What level your character is ... do you plan to rise levels fast or not?
Mentioning those items I can guess you have lower level character. But those items are not good for upgrading ... for an example that Sea-Snake ring is not worth to keep it even if you find it.
If you are playing PVE then my suggestion would be ... level up to cap level as faster as you can ... then you can make plans for the gear. Meanwhile use the best gear you can find ... extraordinary/legendary gear would be the best choice.

Actually, my character is almost lv41. I just need a little more, then I'm off to the Gleaming Mountains to resume quests (don't plan on speed-leveling -- I have college too, you know -- but it won't take all that much with all the higher-level mobs and XP rewards). Yeah, I'm more interested in PvE, rather than PvP (at least for now) and I am indeed using whatever best equipment I can find until I finish off all PvE quests. That much I know, just that I want a little extra something, and the equipment configurations I was going on about are just a fancy. The plans I have are for after I hit the current level cap, of course, and what I wrote about before is only a bit of it. Yeah, those items are kinda weak, but I would use them to boost my critical in certain equipment mixes, rather than have a great belt/ring, because I'll be doing fine in all other aspects. The items mentioned are low-level because I don't know of any better ones as far as unique belts/rings with Critical Hit Rate/Value are concerned. I could still be able to use the Ring of Life and Roshan's Circle/Automated Belt if need be, so this whole thing is fail-safe. I'd just like to have an alternative for higher critical.

In that case this is what I would do if I were in your shoes:
Level up to level 45 as fast as you can ... you can solo Gorga normal until level 43 (it takes 30-45 minutes to get from level 40 to level 41 and 1-2 hours for above levels) ... meanwhile do your quests in Atlantis and Misty Ridge/Andracasch/Gleaming Mountains. After that you can play Thunder Crest and gather fast XP from quests and minibosses (kill commanders in circle). Once you are level 44 play Stalgard.
Meanwhile ... I would get: Dark Armor set for drakens or New/Full Moon items ... I would get full dark set since it gives you a lot of armor and critical hit ... and on the left side I would go with damage/critical damage items. Use Amethysts and Diamonds.
The other combination would be (less drakens needed): buy only Dark Helmet and get to level 45 fast ... until Dessert of Essences event starts and you can get (hopefully) full essence set ... in this case you will have to find few items with critical hit on the left side (most probably legendary items).

Like I said ... that is what I would do according to my preferences.

Thanks for the info. That's certainly a more pro plan, haha. Uh, I'm done with everything up to the Gleaming Mountains. I just need a tad more so I can continue the storyline, which I will. If I need to do speed-leveling, I'll certainly follow your suggestions, thanks ;). What I had in mind is this: 3 configurations. First: Atlantis set + Roshan set + New Moon set + either Ring of Life or Sea-Snake Ring. Second: Atlantis set + Ammon set (gonna do those missions with my best friend :D) + Ring of Life/Sea-Snake Ring & Roshan's Circle/Automated Belt/one of those crit belts in whatever combo I may feel like. Third: Atlantis Set + Legendary King's set + belt and other ring as in the last one. Now, I know these will be hard to get, maybe even seem impossible, but they're just what I want to have, one day; just some suits of armor I'd like to get hold of and switch between as I play & enjoy the game. So far, I only have 3 of the 5 Atlantis Treasures from all those combinations so I am very well aware that I still have a looong way to go until I fulfill my plan, if I ever will, but again, it's just my fancy. In what regards events... yeah, not so invested in those (though I do want to get Karabossa's set -- or even better, Sargon's Armor... even if, again, that's as harder to get as is the Bloodtooth compared to the Sea-Snake), though I still haven't experienced them all and am looking forward to the ones that seem to be more popular and talked about, so again, thank you for the second part of your message as well. I find it very helpful :). But for now, I want to sketch out my plan well enough first. Plus, with what you wrote, I'll sure have plenty more to do in this game (not to mention the lv50 expansion that's gonna happen eventually)... and I haven't said anything about a mount and cape once I get the Ancient Knowledge levels high enough (yeah, I'm still lv19 in that aspect xD... lame, I know :D, but I'm doing my best -- 250 a day isn't exactly fast, Knowledge drops from monsters are too small to be significant, more often than not, and I don't have Mentor bonus, as I am only playing one character at the moment). I'll just go for whatever mount I like best (currently, I'll maybe get a Palomino, as I need just a little more in both gold and Ancient Knowledge and I like how it looks, even though I could just get the 10 gold one, LOL... and maybe the Legendary King's War Horse as an Epic Mount -- it'd go nicely with the Legendary King's set -- if I can gather up the Ander and rack up the Knowledge to lv30). About capes, once I hit lv25 Knowledge, I'll try to get the 100 gold cape at best, until I can save up for the 1k gold one (again, if I ever will). So, yeah... that's about everything I could potentially do. Right now, however, I only want to know which of those belts is best.

You are focusing on impossible things while neglecting things that are very possible and easy achievable. :D
Good luck with you "mission impossible".

I probably am :D. Eh, what can you do... I'm a dreamer ;). Although I could very probably end up doing just what you suggested first, and then work towards my objectives detailed above :D.

I would pick extraordinary/legendary. Personal preference, and biased by the fact that it's what I did with my SW, of course. I just rely entirely on my left side items to provide my crit at the moment, and it seems to work all right.

My suggestion is to farm all left side items with 3 stats. Damage is perfect Critical % over 7 is suggested next and lastly coital value.

A perfect legendary would have 3x damage 1x critical value.

But I'd die way sooner if all the left side'd be filled with non-defensive items, no? I'd rather have greater survivability, even if dealing less damage, than being a more fragile spiker. I'm not even entirely sure I want to also use the belt slot to get Critical, not just one of the ring slots. Frankly, I'm not sure even about that last one either :D. But, as I said, having an alternative to those two items for boosting my offense would be nice (because if it doesn't work for me, I'd just use items like the Ring of Life and Roshan's Circle/Automated Belt).

Wow, I'll give you this, when you wish, you wish big...

The Dark set and Sargon set give the most critical. Wanting the possible drop uniques is gonna take grinding to a whole new level. I've been playing almost a year and have never seen the Roshan belt, Sea-Snake Ring, or more than 1 of the Atlantis set (I once got the Amulet).

I completely agree with the advice given to you by trakilaki. The gear you need to solo the parallel worlds is in those worlds, and sadly the mob dropped uniques are not the best and rarely worth the effort it takes to get them.

I use a mixed set of legendary and event gear with the exception of my wand, I can't find a legendary that is anywhere close to my purple one and it isn't all that great.

I've found that Amulets and Crystals still have the best chance for crit if you can find them. I personally like my rings to have nothing but dmg...

Don't be afraid to test things out if a decent item comes your way. I filled my left side with entirely offensive stats. (When I'm in areas where I'm not likely to die, I occasionally go offensive on my right side too, just for fun.) If anything, I find it a little more fun to be built entirely of damage. Maps don't get boring, because when your attention slips, you might die.

The thing about counting on uniques is that it can be as Rhys said: You can farm forever and still not see anything drop. My advice would just be not to put all your hopes on one particular unique or a unique set to save the day, but use whatever comes your way and make the best of it.

As far as dreaming big is concerned, yeah, you couldn't be more right :D. As unlikely as it is, just imagine if I'd actually achieve all that, though... that feeling of achievement'd be over 9000 . I saw that the Dark & Sargon sets are awesome, but I don't think I'll be able to get them anytime soon, so I don't even wish for those. And actually, I found 3 of the 5 items in the Atlantis set, and my best friend did so too (I have the wand, orb & weapon adornment while he, a DK, has the sword, shield & ring). Guess it's all up to luck... have to say, the Atlantean region is by far the one I've had the most luck in. Oh, and I'm not gonna solo the PW... I've gathered enough info on that to know it's a bad idea to go alone. I'll see how me & my friend fare together there (when we'll get there, of course), but there's always the option of inviting 3 more people.

And the award for the best typo goes to MegaNuker :D.

That's you; as I said, I'm a bit more of a coward, haha :D. No, but seriously... I just like having a bit more defense to rely on. About uniques, I know I could maybe never get a single full set, but it's just something I'll be hunting for, for fun (and for that nice possible feeling of reward when I'd progressively tick things off the list). Meanwhile, I'll do exactly that: use whatever best items come my way and enjoy the game.

As I mentioned in the other thread, my main focus once I leveled up to 45 fast was armor and dmg. This allowed me to solo every map and even the parallel worlds.

It's hard to impossible to create a totally balanced toon. For me, I keep swinging back and forth between high crit or high dmg, I can't seem to have both at the same time.

Armor and health are just too easy, so I wouldn't suggest putting too much thought into it, they just happen whether you want it or not.

Keep up the big dreams, don't let people discourage you from that. It might make the grinding more tolerable for you and that is a good thing.

    Happy killing !!!!!
