Losing skills during a battle

Greetings,

New to the forums, but i've been enjoying this game for almost a year. I don't know if this has been covered on another thread, please forgive me if this should be listed elsewhere. I've noticed a few times that when i'm battling a boss or several creatures at once, when i deploy a certain skill (hunter's trap, net, eagle) that sometimes that skill disappears and i have to re-add it to the skills bar. I was attempting to defeat the boss in Hjalgrimur and not only did my hunting trap disappear when i tried to use it, but my small health elixirs disappeared from the skill bar and back into inventory. This is very aggrivating when in the heat of a battle, you're trying to heal yourself or fend off hordes of monsters and your skills disappear. Am i doing something wrong? Your time is greatly appreciated.

You might have moved your mouse cursor on the your skill slots while youre navigating your toon. You might have drag your skills out of the slot. We've been there. It's been petitioned for a skill slot locking system or transparency to avoid such nuisance. Still, no response yet.

Try switching to fullscreen to widen your field of view; try not to click on the skills in the slot, instead use the designated hotkeys.

Thank you for your response. I do use the mouse when i'm playing the game. Rarely do i use the keyboard. Once in awhile, my hunting trap wouldn't work so i would manually hit the hot key, but primarily i use the mouse for all actions.
