I'm totally new to this game started playing 2 days ago, so I guess I have lot to learn. Been leveling doing normal quests and my SW is currently lvl 21 but I don't know where I can get GOP I've been melting all the gears I find but still nowhere near to upgrading my gears. So been wondering whether there is easy way to do this or any where particular where I can get more GOP to farm?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi ErHun,

At the moment there're only 2 ways to get GoP, buy farming gear and melting it or you can buy it 4000 AM = 40K GoP!!!
If you want to buy, just click on "T" (by default) and a menu will appear select the tab with gem icon and you will find the GoP!!!

Also every week or so you can buy GoP with discount...-25%!!!

At your level, you are better off replacing gear than upgrading it. Glyphs become important at end game, but in the meantime, not so much. Also, by the time you get to end game, you will likely have unlocked an area called "Halls of the Dead" (also called "Map2") which is without doubt the best place to farm for glyphs. It has 5 mini bosses, each of whom drop at a minimum 1 purple (extraordinary) item, and at LVL 45, each of these melt for 1500 glyphs. This may sound like a lot, but some items cost in the millions to upgrade just one level. Keep melting items (or selling those greens that are worth more, like jewelry) but don't stress over them until you reach level cap.

So how do these low lvl pvpers get their gears, do their also farm in Map2? or is there some low lvl location they can farm from?

Those players are one of the most hated breeds in DSO... don't pay attention to them. Play the game as normal, progress while replacing gear with any better you may find, etc. When you get to the end-game part, you can start to worry about GoPs, uniques, and whatnot. Good luck!

As another new player (few months into the game now), I had similar questions like you when I started.
Since I went through the same cycle as you now do :) I might give you some hints.

It is difficult to collect Glyphs at lower levels. The best way of upgrading your gear as many others above said is to equip whatever you find during your adventures.

When you find some gear that you don't want or less powerful than what you have:
    1. First, check the selling price. Specially on green gear, you will notice that some of the green and blue gears have astronomical selling prices (20s - 80s).
    2. Sell those to make some gold.
    3. If the selling price is normal (1s - 5s for greens up to level 20), then melt them to get glyphs.
    4. Usually you can melt any pink or legenday gear that you don't need for melts because they wouldn't give you that much gold compared to their melting value.

Your shield and your weapon is the most important pieces of gear, so if you do have some Glyphs, then try upgrading those.
Note that when you melt any upgraded gear, you get the Glyphs back, so you don't need to worry about not getting them back.

When you compare what you have with something you found new,
For left side gear: rings, amulet, belt and weapon deco: give more priority to items that gives you damage and critical rate.
At lower levels critical damage boost is not important.

Specially for the weapon deco and the weapon, try to find something with many slots so you can equip gems that you find daily and from adventuring into these.

    About PvP:
If you like doing PvP. The only way to get somewhere or anywhere in PvP is to start early.
If you wait to become high level to do PvP, you are going to miss the bus and will be utterly dissapointed when you are at a higher level as I did. However, it is still possible to do at high levels, but you will probably have to spend a long time to find better gear so you wouldn't die in 1 hit in the arena.

Oh another thing, don't waste your gear/money/andermants trying to craft.
You would probably find a better piece from 4 pinks than to find a better legendary in that crafted piece.
