First off, I'm curious about how you all organize stats in order of importance. More exactly, speaking of DEF: what's the order of importance for Armor, Health and Resistance Values; and regarding ATK: how would you list, again per the importance criterion, Damage, Critical Hit and Attack Speed?

Secondly, same question, but with gems: what's, in your opinion, the order of importance for: a) Cyanites, Amethysts & Diamonds and b) Rubies, Onyxes & Sapphires?

Thirdly, how far is it wise to go with combining gems? I've just crafted a Radiant one and I'm starting to think I shouldn't go higher than that in the future...

Lastly, something regarding the Full Moon event... what's the better way to go: with Essences, or with 5-min. Silver Scrolls you can get by trading Shady John 1500 Silver Essences?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Dislike resist gear. Get your resist from gems. In general, I like hp and armor on defensive body gear, block rate and block reduce on shields, crit hit value and damage on offensive off hand items and adornments. Belts, necklaces and rings are for finishing the character off and typically i go for damage and critical hit value and hp. Weapon, i go for weapon % damage, +damage, and speed%.

    I think i'm using about 60% diamonds, 30% amethysts and 10% cyanites.

I also go for all rubies in the weapon and all sapphires in the adornment (or bullet or arrow, depending on your character)

I don't use onyx gems but i am think of just stuffing them in an alternative weapon like the vargulf mace for my dk once i get the complete wolf set.

As high as you can. I keep the gems relatively equal in level.

The higher your base damage, the more likely you can get by with just using silver essence (my dk can clear the moonhowlers and boss solo with ~1000 silver essence). Those 5 minute scrolls only last one trip, and you might find yourself using multiple scrolls a trip. however, if your base damage is low, silver scrolls allow you to blue or better essence.

Thanks for the reply. But with gem combining... it gets expensive past Radiant, and given that you lose value upon combining, I don't think I should go as high as possible. I think I'll stop at Radiant, and only do more if I amass gems in my inventory, so I don't need to take some off of my gear, combine, and get a higher-tier gem, but less actual value out of it, and socket it back. Yeah, it frees up gem slots, but is it really worth overdoing it?

Also, what's better in a shield? Having more Block Rate, or Block Value, i.e. block often, but not by much, or block rarely, but by a great deal? I tend to keep it balanced.

More feedback is always appreciated ^^.

Dont use the scrolls unless your character does not have good firepower (ie when killing wolf boss u need blue ess). I find you can finish the event in 8k of silver if you have a good team that is only killing main boss and mini bosses, dont kill the wolfs they dont drop enough blood.

Yeah, two answers with this same idea, so it's certainly the way to go. Thanks!

Thats why i keep my gems on the same level. I generally use uniques and legendaries, and have something like an average of 4 slots per item (5 slots each on weapon, weapon adornment for 10 offensive gems, plus 5 slots on two uniques, rest of my uniques have 4 slots and 3 legendaries with 3 slots). i try to get every gem in my gear up to a certain gem level before i start crafting for the next level.

DK's with shield talent are better off with two block rate and 2 block reduce lines, all otgers are better with 3 block rate lines and 1 block reduce line. That being said, ideal shields are hard to find and you use the one you can get.

    Coupla q's:

I've noticed that when I highlight a character to see his/her level, the 'Level #' designation is either gray or a color. I know gray means unworthy of my level to fight, and that red means PvP.
    - What do yellow and orange mean?
    - How do I know what my own 'Level #' color is?

Also, what's the reasoning behind not being able to view other characters' profiles/stats (ie, ingame)?

Green is your level or lower up to 5 levels, yellow is up to 5 above you, red is above 5 levels. I don't think there was any prethought into hiding other characters info. It was more of a we didn't program that function. That is about to change although no details have been released on exactly what we will be able to see. They did mention you will be able to "inspect" another player.

Greg also said, however, that the "inventory inspection" tool will most likely not be mandatory; i.e. you can choose your inventroy not to be able to be seen by others, but then you won't be able to see anyone else's either. Similarly, if you choose to render yourself completely transparent, you will also have the ability to see others.

Interesting. On a vaguely similar note (or maybe not): any thought being given to the option of hiding one's helmet, so that you can see your character's face while still maintaining stats?

Not sure, but I did see that request posted somehwere else too, that I'm certain of. What you can do is find a helmet that doesn't cover your face (if you can get one that's both that and usable). For example, SWs have those headbands... a Legendary one might do, depending on your level. Then there's The Legendary King's Legend that doesn't cover much of your face either. Other than that (though I doubt it's a wise thing to do - sacrificing stats and heavily grinding for one item just to have more of your head visible), nothing on the said matter.

I had a great, Ranger's blue stalker's mask, which lasted a long time, til I found a better ram's helm drop, which, IMHO, doesn't look anywhere near as cool as that stalker's mask did. But yeah, it would be foolish to give up good gear simply for facial visibility.
