Game hanging every once in awhile.

Hi, I just started playing earlier today, and I have been experience some issues with the game hanging on me from time to time. I'm playing on the US West Server (Tegan) from Singapore. Does having aprox. 200ms latency, could that be the issue?

If there is a solution for this please help me

just a heads up,there are more ppl on agathon USA east or Heredur Europe severs.ppl been sayin tegan is hard to find groups because of population.
ot, in the main menu in game, go to graphic settings and put everything to OFF. and turn some sounds down as well.that might help.

 

Yea I've noticed that, but playing in Asia, US West is closer to me and offers a better latency.

Although I don't think that will work since I'm using a pretty powerful setup, unless this game has yet to optimize it's recommended requirements or sth.

Pretty sure that agathon and tegan servers are in the same physical location

 

I have troubled shot and found my source of hangs. The windows sound management dll and my sound card drivers had issues. I went to Real Audio site downloaded the latest versions and it stopped hanging. There was only one problem. I could not plug headphones or a mic into the computer after boot. As long as everything was plugged in before I rebooted it was just dandy.

They are located in Level 3's Data center in CA.

As for the server location, if I were to move servers, does that mean I have to recreate my character?

 

I'm afraid so. If you want to play on a different server, you can't simply transfer... but must start from scratch.

 

They are looking into server transfer but don't look for that til 2016 I bet.
