HOW PAY-TO-WIN IS THIS GAME? Question About Legendary Treasure CHESTS

Im just woundering at level 40-50 what is best way to get good gear (the best gear @lvl 50)? From what i see being able to buy KEYS from Market for real $ giving the option of finding LEGENDARY gear seems pay to win to me.. UNLESS the chests dont drop the best gear, I will want to primarly PVP so im just woundering is their PvP Based gear Obtained from other means than Adament & does the best gear drop from bosses that you cant find in chests?? this question will determin if i play because i dont mind a Marketplace to buy cool things for in-game items BUT being able to buy the best gear in game ruins the ponit of the game compeletly.....TY for time to read.

 

If you are interested in PvP, you need to farm events like the New Moon event, the current Desert of Essence event, or the next Dragan event to get useful unique sets. To get legendaries, your best bet is crafting or the PWs. To make the gold for crafting, focus on selling green and maybe even blue items. Also, farm bosses for better chances at unique gear, legendaries, and exos to put into the crafting bench. Also, don't waste gold on "dirty crafting" where you put in more than one kind of item otherwise you will just be upset when the item you didn't want comes out. Better that you take the time to find the items you are looking for than waste the items you did find and the gold you farmed on a matter of chance. Also, never spend andermant on anything except inventory slots, gems, and the occasional gem slot if you find a particularly good item that you will be holding onto for the long haul.

In summery, F2P can be done, but it is time consuming.

 

What about legenedarys that drop from bosses and mobs that arearound your level? Because it just seems to me you have the option to skip and load up on legendarys from chests from keys..... which is just pay to win but if their is indeed unique sets from events than its not to to bad x)

 

The truth is that you will melt 98%+ of the legendaries you find, craft, or get from a chest. If you pay to open a legendary chest, then you are paying 4000 andermant for a couple of health potions, a couple of small gems, a bit of red essence, and 8400 glyphs or less (8400 is at LVL 50). I can not think of anyone, including heavy P2Ps, that gear themselves up using chests. Now, fighting bosses near your level is all well and good, but their drop rates are usually rather low. I go back to what I said about the Parallel worlds (Which you may or may not have unlocked on the toon in question). The drops there are rather good and all the drops should be scaled to your level, even if you go in with a higher level teammate.

 

I melt all blue which cost less than 40 silver, sell the rest (some blue rings and amulets cost over 1 gold so of course it's much better to sell). I also sell pink items which cost more than 2 gold (which is very rare).

To find good items from legendary chests you would need thousands and thousands of euros and a lot of time since the legendary chests are not in the same places everytime, you would need to look for them.
Payers usually play the jesters to get the special gems and they also get tons of keys (and many other things).

Don't forget to take off those 4 year old glasses every once in a while Baragain. I would only modify this to say you eventually get to this point. Initially Leg's have more utility and long term players like us are used to not expecting the Leg to be any better than what we already have. We are pleasently (and rarely) surprised if it is. For a brand new 50 opening a few chests will get a few starter pieces that will help them get better pieces and the replacement loop continues until you are melting nearly everything you get.

 

True to a point, but my RA, SM, and SW are all LVL 50 these days and they have exos that have repeatedly been better than new legendaries I've found.
