can someone explain base damage, if one watches the hits, comes nowhere near, and a whole different discretion on critical, does anyone have new breaks on critical,

Most mobs your level, at least in Lor'Tac/endgame (can't remember for the earlier areas), have 50% armor and 50% resistance against your attacks, so you will only cause half your base damage to them with a 100% dmg attack.

Of course the displayed numbers also depend on what attack you use, and if it causes all damage in one hit or over several "ticks".
For testing, it is usually good to use NO weapon at all, as you will have a constant base damage then, not a random range.

For critical hits, I don't know any other facts than that, with a certain probability (the critical hit rate %), you will land a critical hit (indicated by yellow damage numbers), which will cause the "normal" damage multiplied by the critical damage amount (% given in the character stats, e.g. 220%).
Of course, again, reduced by armor/resistance.

i am sorry, but have not ever understood base damage, even more now, tjhat thwey changed, i have a base f]damage of over 900, but if i hit an enimy i see whit hit of 400 or slightly highrt, i totaly understand critical hit but whr is critical breaks, i see way fewer critical hits, is this same for every Callas the base damage, or just dk or just me, i have base damage way over 900, but get hits mid 400

If you do 900 damage to a monster with 50% armor, they take 450 damage. Just like your armor reduces the damage you take, the monsters armor reduces their damage.

    Nothing is wrong with you

    Now,
1 ) For the low damage you experience -- You are dealing 900 damage but the mobs your level have a 50 % resistance and armour rating , this means all damage done to mobs is reduced by 50% so when you hit for 900 their resistance and armour reduces it to 50% of that which is 450.

2)Why you don't crit often ---This is simple, you dont have a high enough crit chance, whats your critical chance by the way?

3)No where near most you other guys --- neither am I :p, thats beacause the gears we are using a bad compared to those end game players who farmed for years to get that 1 good weapon or armour out of the hundreds that they found or crafted. Just farm and wait for the new crafting system, with that and a bit of planning you could easily work you way to the build of your own which would be on par with those pro end gamers .
