    Hello,

I have downloaded the client on Windows 7, installed and tried to log into the game.

Then, for couple of minutes I see only grey screen, cannot see characters nor customize them. After 10 minutes of waiting, characters loaded and I was able to customize my Dragonknight. Tried to get into the game, and another problem. Only grey screen again, loading for 15 minutes just to have the following screen:

You can still notice the grey parts on the image above, it is not totally loaded and it has lag. Tried reinstalling, still the same issue. Running the following Java version:

I am running the game on Intel Core i5 5200U with NVidia GeForce 820M.

If you need more details about the specification of my computer, or some logs, let me know.

    Update 1:
It somehow managed to load the map fully, and I have tried to play the game. After every NPC kill, game crushes and I cannot see the drops on the ground. Even if some drops get shown, when I click on them I do not have them in my inventory. My character in inventory is hardly showing (not fully loaded). Have tried resetting my modem and my WiFi, but still the same. PC reboot does not help too. I do not have any troubles with my network:

  2. A few pointers:
    1) The client version of DSO does not use Java - only the browser version
    2) Scan your computer for viruses and other malware
    3) Ensure that your antivirus/firewall application is not interfering with the execution of DSO
    4) Disable any unnecessary background applications, downloads/updates, scans, etc
    5) Try the game with your computer linked directly to your network cable/router if possible - it could be that your WiFi signal is a bit weak where your computer is located
    6) Try the game with the graphics settings dimmed down a bit
    7) Check your HD - does it need defragging?
    8) Check your % of system resources in use while running DSO - especially your RAM
    9) Run a ping test to the server you are playing on - e.g. ping tegan.drakensang.com Even better, run a tracert to the server.

    Hello @Allogeneous ,

I am running licensed BitDefender, so no viruses and stuff.

    No problems with this too.

    No unwanted background applications.

Tried, it is still the same. The network screen shot on my first post is done via my WiFi.

This is not the issue, because I am running other games that are demanding in terms of GPU with no problem.

Doing this often. Does not need defragging at the moment.

Lots of free RAM while running the game:

  4. Are you still encountering this issue? If so, please use pingtest.net to ping a server in Berlin and then run a separate ping test to grimmag.drakensang.com and let us know the results. If you have run a antivirus/malware test, it may also be worth disabling bitdefender and launch the game to see if it makes a difference.

Yes the game was constantly freezing ... not loading properly ... and when loading it was taking pretty long time.
Also when playing in browser the game was making the browser unresponsive.
I believe it was another CDN failure ... the next screen is pretty much self-explanatory(lower left hand corner).

In the morning it seems to work better, but still have some lag issues on moments. Haven't played a lot in the morning, just logged in to check how is the situation so I can report here.

I am always running scans on my computer. The game and all it's files have been added to the exclusion list, and the antivirus was disabled. I have tried this yesterday too, but got the same results.

    Update 1:
I have been playing for couple hours, seems the problems are gone. Game is working as it should, with no lags and crushes.
Although everything is good at the moment, please do not close this thread for now - just in case I have the problems again.
