Testserver

When i play on the testserver after a couple of minutes i got this message and the game freezes:


This is the first time i got this message, just yesterday there was no problem at all.

The message also gives a recommandation to download the game client. I thought it wasn't possible to use the testserver with the game client?

 

It can be. All you need to do is right click the icon, go to properties, and then in the box labled "Target", add the following without quotes " -stable" with the space between the quote of the target in the box and the dash.


Another troubleshooting step would be try again (it may not happen every time), or to delete your DSO client folder, but that might be a bit overkill for a test server bug.

You could even have more than once short cut with with once being used to access the normal game and one being used to access the test server so that you don't have to keep editing the target.

 

If you are feeling really adventurous, you could even try to hunt down the corrupt file in the client folder and delete it which would force the game to redownload it when you log in next. That is the nice thing about the game using only temp files.
