    I would like to know the details of the "commit a fix and issue a proper compensation" as this is the 3rd time that I'm aware off.

    when you chose not to download the new client version the game shuts down in my experience. first i didn't want to get the new client version but then the program shuts down and when i open drakensang again i get the same request to download the new client version.

    about the compensation, i should have finished the mini and done plenty runs spider and dragon fatal, no way they will compensate for that loss. if i calculate it means this costs me the chance to finish the sets and lots of legends (20-30 runs spider, around 2 leg a run so 40-60 legends) and uniques i could melt....

    hope they fix this soon

    yes, i expect them to give premium, deluxe would be nice but i don't need premium. i need dragan sets lol. and premium doen't help me get any set :(

    First time poster here

    Just incase anyone is thinking about "waiting it out" (a.k.a.-letting the load bar get to the "Required" position), I began it around 12:30 am EST.
    It got to the required 85.2MB/1114.8MB at 5:55 am EST and stopped.
    Ever since the "fix" for MAC users during the DSO Anniversary Event, this has been all that has been necessary to play the game.
    No need for optimal... I could make a snide remark, but I'll allow imaginations to populate that accordingly.
    Presently, it is 6:45am EST, and the progress bar hasn't turned that lovely shade of green yet.
    I will continue waiting a little bit longer, but I wanted to test it out for my own curiosity.
    I hope that this can prevent anyone else from wasting time for the sake of curiosity.

    PS:to DSO/BP
    A promise that this kind of thing will not be allowed to happen again (MAC problems, during multiple events, and over a weekend) means far more to players than "sorry." Trust is given and attained- but hardest to regain once lost.

    is theere any news on when we can play again? and what will happen with us regarding to the mini event?
    hope to get some answers on when we can play again, i understand if it's still unclear but it would be nice to know more about the situation.

    It would be nice if someone would tell us if it is more than likely we'll miss the mini or event completely so I can tell my friends to go ahead and run it without me! : / They insist on waiting til last day but I don't see this fixed on a weekend just like before!

    I expect with every release I won't be able to play for a day or so! Even when I do play I get disconnected 5-6 times p/hr or booted (usually in a boss map before the drop ;p).. I just deal with it! But I'm f2p so I can't moan too much! Like any product or service.. I wouldn't pay for one that doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin! :p

    I can't be bothered getting mad, life's too short.. little disappointed? Yups.. look of surprise and shock-horror on my face this has happened again? Nopes! :D

    I believe it was 5-6 days. But, I can't remember if that was the "Failed fix" or the "Real fix." The "Real fix" was tacked onto the fix for the exploit.

    i can understand there are bugs and problems, i just don't understand why there had to be a new release in the middle of the dragan event. I understand this isn't how it's planned and shit happens, but please think twice before putting a new release in the middle of an event. I really hope we can get to play the mini event as i want that goodies, this is basically the only event that really matters as the sets are really good. And please give us some info more information about where things stand, any message is better than no message.

    You can get a 14 day free trial of parallels..get a copy of windows for mac.. that might work? System requirements in main page now just state windows version! lol We've been kicked off the island people! :p

    System requirements
    Windows xp, Vista7, 512 MB, 256 MB VRAM, 1 GHz or faster, 1 GB HD space (recommended), Internet connection

    Also an open source virtual machine called Virtualbox may be an option.

    Has the Mac problem been fixed or are we still going to waste another 24hrs of eents and have another mod or team leader try calm us down with the we are sorry and we are trying to fix this as quick as possible messages ? BP i hope this compensation is including possible uniques according to how active the player is online and the probability of drop they could get by loosing 72 hrs of game play, id say by now id atleast have the sigris set seeing as id bought 200+ portals and play dragan event 3-4 hours a day i think id get a few t1 and t2 items for melt in my inventory + and increase on my premium deluxe membership which is currently running away from me and i dont think i should need to tell u how premium deluxe is got. FIX IT NOW

    What is the status of this latest problem?
    Has the problem been identified?
    Is this a new problem or a repeat of the last one?
    How safe should we feel as Mac users that the specs of our systems aren't given consideration?
    Is there an ETA?
    Is there the ability to allow MAC users to play the mini-event/complete the Dragan daily quests after the official end of the event?
    There are so many questions to be asked.
    I would ask them in the Official Announcement Section, but that isn't allowed.

    if there is anyway we can play this event could you let me know im wasting my free time waiting for these people to fix the issue and i can almost guarantee they wont fix it today as its a weekend and they are too busy dancing around with our money we have earned and invested into them. My mac has downloaded upto 85.2mb/1114mb and crashed i have tried this 4 times now and it takes about 8+ hours each time to reach upto 85.2mb. Please could you let me know of what i can do because on mac i try to go online to play it not via thin client and there isnt a pay game option only download option on the online website mate.

    I was able to enter my password and click the login button.:eek:
    The screen disappeared which gave me hope, but, alas there was nothing on the other side.:mad:
    My fears are the same as yours that because it is the weekend there isn't a soul to be found in the office-the dancing part is creative though.;)
    It actually is the passive-aggressive reasoning why I asked for the status update above. :rolleyes:
    As far as having a pay2play option, I remember there being something on Steam, but I have NO idea about the content, viability, or cost involved.o_O
     
  19. Currently (Being the weekend still), we know the same as you.
    1) There is an issue with the Mac version of the DSO Client
    2) It is not at user's end
    3) The symptoms are the same as the last time this happened.
    4) We communicated the issue to Big Point as soon as we became aware of it - within two hours of R175 being implemented.
    5) The QA team immediately tested and confirmed the issue and passed on to the appropriate internal team for actioning
    6) It is being treated as a high priority and will undoubtedly be the focus on the team on Monday.
    7) We have been informed that there will be compensation given to affected users. We do not know what or when as yet. We will communicate this when we know.
    8) Everything that we know has been clearly communicated in this thread and in the OA regarding this issue.
    9) Getting pissy about it in this thread, towards the forum moderators, or in tickets sent to Support will not speed up the resolution of the issue.

    Everything you have provided just now would be invaluable to have known earlier especially in the aforementioned thread.
    Concerning #9: I sincerely hope I was not the target.
