i do not think anything done to resolve customer issues is ever done with speed anyway. So there we have it nothing is going to be done until Monday. I still do not understand why DSO isnt working with Apple yet. Apple is one of the most famous companies now and yet people with ACER and Toshiba products probably can play the game whilst we are here waiting on the 'team' to do something on Monday. This compensation best be worth the wait and patience. Thats all i have to say. So i wont even try log in today because its going to be a waste of my time, i would say money but too late the premium deluxe and offers will have ended by then. Anyway i know its not your fault but as with every business there is always someone to blame especially if im the customer because customers are always right in business, i dont mean to take it upo with you personally but this was a great opportunity for me to improve my tank with the days off i have had. But anyway glad to see that now we have a date to when people will actually 'start' to look into the issue even if it shouldve been looked at friday before the weekend too. Enjoy your day.

  2. False. They are occasionally misinformed, willfully ignorant, mildly moronic or just natural born .... posteriors. Fortunately, the lovely ones massively outnumber the latter type.

Edit to add: Lets keep this thread on-topic, shall we? It is for communicating Mac-related issues.

It's Monday, when we can playing again? An update about this problem is welcome. Is there coming an hotfix today?

  4. Unfortunately.... it is highly unlikely for today. The team is doing their best to have it ready for tomorrow. As soon as we know anything for sure, we will post it here.

How is an "affected user" determined? I play 98% of the time at home on Win10 desktop, but occasionally play when out of town on my MacBook Pro. This weekend was one such occasion. So, I missed 3 days of undetermined activity and rewards (as much as anything, I'm disappointed that I'll lose ~7 days of gems from consecutive daily login bonus [as I have to build back up to that magical 5th day on top of the several days I coudn't log in], plus the potential for Wisdom points from Daily Quests, etc.).

Do I need to submit a separate Support Ticket in order to receive compensation? How will they verifiy that I was attempting to use Mac (can they track my R175 download progress [about 18MB over 3 days :)]?

I know you can't tell us yet what form the compensation will take; I don't the developers making that decision, as they'll undoubtedly have a bunch of unsatisfied users regardless, but from your past experience, do you anticipate that a F2P player such as myself will receive any compensation at all?

I wouldn't normally be anxious for anything, but y'all committed in writing to some kind of mitigation :)

  7. I am not making any promises until I know that such promises will be kept. I do not know what the compensation will be or who (apart from the general category of "Mac users") will be eligible for it. You shouldn't need to submit a separate ticket for compensation - that should be automatically sorted via a script.

    Hi everyone.

So I've got a little problem. My mac client is loading very VERY slow. I haven't had this problem before.
https://postimg.org/image/otppzvkl1/ <----- this part is loading very slow
On my pc it works just fine. 2 of my friends (they also have the mac client) have the same problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem before?

    Thanks for reading!

    ps
I'm new to the forums and haven't had the time to read all the rules. Sorry if I did something wrong :3

yet another weekday has gone by and no improvements, im still unable to play. My biggest frustration is i have invested a huge amount of money to have a game online i can play and enjoy. Yet since friday until monday us mac users still cant play the game. Im sick and tired of people not knowing anything about the issue but yet they are trying to calm us i mean come on BP are you people not getting enough money from us to have a partnership with Apple? and now team leaders of forum i am sincerely asking now a serious question because im getting fed up of waiting for a game that ive invested in so much to have bugs, lags and many more never ending problems is there a possibility of getting a full refund of every single penny i have spent in this game and id happily quit it. No more we dont know can someone who knows something give us a straight answer so we know we cant play for how long so we know im tired of making time for the game and being disappointed time and time again. i have only a MAC and no other source to play the game apart from the mac.

    Hi @Duckasick

Moved your question to more suitable place. Right now Mac users are having issues playing the game.
DSO developers are working on fixing the issue as soon as they can.

    Cheers.

Although i find it hard to believe that they are trying to do it 'soon as they can' we atleat deserve to know if 1. we will get 4days game play worth in compensation for this 'soon' job they are doing. 2. The dragan mini event the events i have been looking forward to for months are they going to be extended only for mac users or for all if for all then the rest get an unfair advantage over us who cannot do a single thing. 3. our premium deluxe daily logins are they going to be resumed or are we going to have to start from login day 1 4. those that havent completed the dragan sets are they going to receive uniques in their inventories worth 4 days worth of farm. if not please let me know if i can be refunded on my character as im sure we have probably missed a sales event for either gems or something along those lines.

4days worth of gameplay sort of compensation, event extended compensation i do not understand i am a very competative player on this game im highly ranked in pvp every day i do not play other people get the chance to improve their characters, + i invest alot here. Will you guys disable game for all those non-mac users stop them playing for 4 days ? because i bet i have missed a sales event + the mini event for dragan. I need to know...

By the silence i think i get the jist of the compensation.. its going to be some silly bonus code sort of compensation which wont go to only mac users but for all even those that havent ben affected by the new release. I dont know why people put any hopes in this game 5 years ive played it and its only getting more and more annoying to play release after release

  15. @kapucín We do understand your frustration, but spamming this thread (and others) with the same questions - which have already been addressed - will not lead to this issue being resolved any faster. Kindly stop. When we have new information about this, we will post it.

    Allogeneous,

As you probably already know, there are not many online games available to those of us who are MAC users. :(
We come into this arena with a certain level of inherent frustration. :p
That being said, we do tend to be highly loyal/passionate customers/players. :D

Would it be possible for you to pass on to the team that some of us would appreciate knowing for sure that this exact type of situation isn't in the foreseeable future?- preferably in the official statement regarding the fix once it happens of course. ;)
Bugs happen and humans are human- no one here is naive to believe otherwise I hope.
Also, if there is anything we as players can do on our end to help the developers achieve success, just let us know. o_O

I would really like to "set up home" here with DSO (I've only been playing a few months), but "having a house" and "having a home" is an important distinction for me. :)

Mods, I understand you're not in a position to make any statements about what the devs/QA team will or won't do, but please ask them to add a "launchability/upgradability" test for Mac to every release, no matter how minor. Having this issue with both 173 and 175 seems as if they didn't take any corrective action to fix their process between these two releases.

  18. @Sparrowedman We will certainly pass on the concerns of Mac users to Big Point. But, in this, their objectives are the same as yours: no-one wants a repetition of this issue. However, I am not sure that they can offer an emphatic guarantee that it won't.

One "simple" thing that I believe could potentially alleviate some of the issues follows as such.
Feel free to correct my logic at anytime; just be gentle. ;)

If R175 is built upon R174 but contains additions/deletions, would it not be possible (in the future of course) to allow accessibility to both the current and the former release?
Presently, if you click "no" that you don't want to download the latest client, you effectively close the windows en masse.
One wouldn't have access to any "new" content obviously, but some content is still better than none. :D

It seems it would give the developers more time to explore the source of new bugs and whatever the heck is going on here with Apple without us breathing down there/your necks. o_O
    At least I use Tic-Tacs, right?
