  1. Hey guys,


    I was recently thinking of this idea and thought it'd be cool if we get to see a summary once a run of a certain dungeon or boss is completed.

    e.g. Player damage dealt, player damage taken, player damage blocked, deaths, reviving stones used, self revive, healing/healed(?) or even things like player items acquired and essences/buffs used.

    I guess it's kind of like in pvp where you get to see the K/D and damage dealt but this one being way more detailed.

    At least we get to know who "that one greedy guy" is.. :p

    What do you think? :)

    More in-depth metrics in PvE would be nice, let's see what other forum posters think. Nice idea :).

    A healing class in 5v5 combined with a dk runnning flag = invincible.
    Im a dk, and the heal per sec that we have avaliable is insane already, but I do like the idea of a "Cleric/Priest" support class

    But I do like that idea of the summary of the PvE run!

    but I also said that's a different topic so i'm going to edit it out to avoid confusion now that a poll was added.

    I think is necessary to see if in our team players use essences and what type.And that can be simple if BP color the circle ffrom level number in front of the name in group with the collor of the essence.I dont need full report just to know what ess use in boss run. The game is lagging i dont need to wait for server to send me all that info.
    Maybe if they implement group leader we need a group info about damage dealt.

    As a Spellweaver, I often don't know if I am helping or just adding sparkles to the battle (new level 55) so feedback like this would be useful.

    Focusing on damage isn't the full story though. While I may not deal a ton of damage, my ability to control mobs may be of value. I also have armor break and taunting skills if needed. I don't know how that could be quantified as it may be in relation to the moves another player makes.

    For example, say another player gets cornered. My guardian calls off the mobs, the other toon has time to regroup, and then kill off the mobs piecemeal. How would my character get credit using your scenario? My actions saved the other toon from death but didn't damage the monster.

    Smart play and teamwork is rarely valued here, so I doubt you'd get any credit. :rolleyes: Probably they would just look at the damage, kick you out of the group next run, and then realize that their task got harder for some reason...
     
  8. I see some creativity here. :) Indeed the summary doesn't have to be particularly about damage dealt. It could show who did the most crowd control and what not. That's why I mentioned it being "more detailed" than the pvp tab.

    I don't see how this would affect the server connection. I mean we already have the pve leaderboard that gathers a decent amount of information and it doesn't affect the game.

    The summary isn't solely about who used what kind of essence. It's to see who had a good impact on the group and what not. The idea of being able to see what kind of essence one had used was an extra idea that could be discussed. Just like you said, color a players level with the matching essence equipped. That's one idea and i'm pretty sure there could be more. :)

    I like those ideas, cleric/ healer/ priest could be nice,maybe with variety of builds healing/tanking/ dmg

    If I remember correctly, the PvP scoring system already takes stuns and such in consideration, so my guess is that it wouldn't be too hard for them to factor this into a PvE summary, I'd like to see even soaked damage factored in, otherwise a tank will always end up with close to zero points if the only thing they factor is damage dealt.

    Maybe separating it into categories would be the way to go?, e.g.:

    Damage points (damage dealt): 1'000'000
    Support points (taunts, stuns, armor breaks): 250'000
    Defense points (damage taken/tanked/soaked): 1'000'000
    Time record (time it took to complete the run, informative only or similar to the individual time bonus): 20:00 mins
    Mobs killed (just for the lols, statistic or research purposes, mostly informative): 1'000
    Total points: 2'251'000

    Now this can be shown in a small list similar to the 5v5 scores after the end of the match or individually, of course for group leaderboard purposes the score should be even in my humble opinion, now that exp block won't be an issue I don't mind if a weaker player gets the same points as the rest of the group if we agreed to help in the first place.

    Also, the statistics of pure damage should be informative only, like in 5v5, it wouldn't be fair if anyone got a gazillion points just for dealing that much damage, that's in the case they decide to make the point gain individual for group LB (which would make zero sense anyway).

    Any form of this feature I'd like to see, so it's a +1 from me as well.
     
  11. Exactly, well said. The purpose of this is to see how well a group performs together overall, not just an individual player.

    Now let me just add this: players obviously shouldn't be forced to view this tab as it could be disruptive. It could be something like the pvp tab where you have to press J to view the information.

    Excellent point, it'd be great if it worked in a similar fashion to the PvP ones, you can check the scores amidst the fight if you want to, but maybe (and ideally) you can have it pop-up only after you exit the map, otherwise it'd be tricky to decide when it'd pop up, when you kill the boss?, how about if I'm doing M1 runs only?, when would it appear?, or maybe we could have it not appearing at all and we can check it manually?, and it's because of all this scenarios why in my opinion it could/should pop-up after you exit from the dungeon you're working on, back in town you don't risk misclicking any exits while trying to pick up your loot and getting rid of the score window, hope they find a good solution for this point if this ever gets implemented.
